Everquest 2 Fury Guide
Also, the Crypt of Betrayal (Qeynos side, zone in from Vermin’s Snye) has several mobs that spawn commonly and drop loot intended for level 30+ people.
Levels 30-40
Solo
The orcs in Zek also drop 40s skulls and meat worth a few silver and very commonly drop chests as well. The enchanted lands mobs can drop lots of assorted pieces of gear that vendor well and you can also do this quest from a guy under the docks that gives bonus money and xp (although both are low, the quest is repeatable) so that you can just keep boosting up how much money that you make.
Grouped
Farm Nektropos castle and kill the sisters everyday for easy loot. Solo mobs in
Rivervale are also a semi-decent cash flow. There is a quest called “The Red Marble” from a chest in the Barracks room (for which you will need to have completed the “Black Marble” quest from one of the boar heads in the zone) which, upon completion, spawns a pig-like creature that commonly drops masters. Have your groupmates do this one at a time.
Finally, Rivervale. Farm Shakey’s camp, farm Lamia’s, farm the Bees. Farm
everything in sight because there are spectacular master drops in this zone if you have the luck.
Levels 40-50
Solo/Duo
Farm Keeper of Nihility or do Everfrost stags for easy chest loot. OoLS also has
glowing shards and enchanted bones in the Nihility room (and other rooms) that you can pick up in between spawns. You will literally make tens of plat per every few days spent here.
If you cannot get this spot, you can camp the Kromise caves in Everfrost or stags
out by the cougar area in the same zone. Additionally, do the quests from the chest drops in here because they can give you items that you can vendor or stick in your vault to sell to players.

7.2. Level By Level Hints
Levels 10-20
Solo
Farm ?’s and sell those. Keep everything you loot to sell, even if it is just a few
silver items like goo and such. At low levels it may not be worth much, but some corpse loots can be 2g+ at high levels.
The money will generally be sparse in these levels, but doing the quests around
the suburbs can help alleviate that. Most of them are good, but some do result in low reward yields. Generally you want a quest rated at a level 10+, otherwise you might get rewarded with only a few copper. Also, quests pay more if you have to cross zones.
I would recommend farming greens in suburban zones for a while, as they have a
nice pay ratio and there are an abundance of little ?’s around that nobody picks up usually.
Grouped
There is not too much to get group-wise during these levels except for possibly Blackburrow and Wailing Caves runs. Nothing special, though, just farm the named in the area.
Levels 20-30
Solo
Do solo mobs in Thundering Steppes for money. In the early levels, the crabs,
deer, beetles, and hawks are a decent source of loot and are fairly fast kills so they drop more than killing ++ greens. There are quests around the TS and Nek docks that you can do as well for items to sell.
Grouped
In your early 20’s, you can do Stormhold for some nice, easy loots. The basement level has many named that you can just run around killing. There are also several quests at the zone in that result in nice items or bonus coin After that (level 25 or so), move on to the Ruins of Varsoon. The clay room that I described earlier or the Tome of Life/Death rooms are all good for loot and have named mobs that can spawn which drop nice items.

7. Making Money
7.1. Introduction
The best tip I have is to save everything. Chest drops are nice, but I find that a lot
of my income actually comes from things like blood, goo, skulls, and things like that. It is also nice to farm grays every once in a while to get massive amounts of those drops, but you can also get quite a bit of chest loot from green and blues to make up for that (as well as experience of course). I usually do not make much money in groups.
Money is actually quite difficult to come by in EQ2, but you shouldn’t find that you
have much use for money. Almost everything you need will drop and everything else will be purchasable. That is, of course, until you are high level. Of course by then, you can spawn the Keeper of Nihility and get massive amounts of platinum to buy anything that you ever wanted.
When you are of appropriate level and can kill the Keeper of Nihility instance that I
referenced in the leveling section, you should just camp there. It has 3 chances to drop masters (2 of which are fairly common) and even if it does not drop a master, you can get massive amounts of cash from just the normal drops. It also drops T5 substitutes fairly commonly, so you can farm it for rubies for your spells or cedar for a buckler, ebon for your sword, etc.
Always, always try to sell your adepts on the market. I usually do not keep my
normal gear to sell on the market, however, and usually vendor it even if it has stats. The market is extremely overwhelmed by gear that people usually do not buy it very far above what a vendor would pay, so I do not waste my time.
Harvest those ?’s every chance you get. Those sell very well and can make you
lots and lots of money overnight!
Also, no matter where you are, you want to be around something named. Named
mobs have an increased chance to drop master loots (even if that chance is also a very small one) so just camping a room full of mobs won’t usually net you a lot of chances to get nice loot. Plus, named have other nice things even if they do not drop masters.

combat). There are not many of these types of items around and most that you find will come from raids.
6.4. Artisan Crafted Gear
Artisan crafted gear is a relatively cheap and easy way of gearing up. They are
not especially good items, but they will get you by. I liked every set of light armor except for the T5 rare light armor. I would not recommend buying this and instead just wait until you get better from quests or raids.
The only exception to this would possibly be crafted jewelry such as Imbued Ruby
Ring of Wisdom, which have good stats (better than most dropped rings) as well as +13 wisdom effect that you activate.
Additionally, some of the imbued weapons are a must have if you intend to melee.
For example, the imbued T5 rare weapons are sometimes the only weapon that can hit certain mobs. It may be immune to lower level weapons but those artisan crafted ones will work and have very nice procs. You will want a sword at least, as your blunts should be able to hit as long as the mob isn’t completely immune to blunt weaponry.

extremely rare master drops. The only drawback is that it is Very Light Armor only (like GEBs) but it isn’t really a problem since Furies were not made to be hit and high level mobs for raids will 1-shot you no matter how much mitigation you can scrounge from Light Armor gear.
Other Heritages
The ones of note that we can use are Glowing Black Stone, Glowing Lighstone, and possibly Ghoulbane. Fishbone Earring is good as well, but it is not really necessary and has no priest stats. The other ones are nice for their level but will go gray eventually and can be upgraded. I would recommend doing all except possibly Ghoulbane, mainly because that quest is insanely mind wracking. Evil Eye bag is a good one as well (20slots bag, 30% weight reduction.)
6.2.4. Other Quests
There are many other quests (both high and low level) that result in good items. I
mentioned the quests from the Sages, but there are others scattered throughout the zones. Additionally, items from chests that start quests frequently have very nice pieces of gear.
One such item is called the Robe of the Invoker which is traditionally a mage robe,
but it gives +20 power regen in combat, so it is very nice for us priests (and even some other classes) as well. It starts from a drop by killing mobs in Feerrott (most notably Huuptics at the zone in). After you inspect the robe, you have to go harvesting in Rivervale (you need 190+ gathering and mining), and then you must kill the good dryad seedlings near the river. After that is done, you go to the tailor room in Varsoon’s and click on one of the looms and you get your robe.
6.3. Items (dropped)
There really is no rhyme or reason in the types of gear that is dropped in any given
zone or if you will even want or use it. Master chests can have some especially nice pieces of gear and there are lots of raid zones that also give incredible items for us priests, but the commonality of such items is difficult at best to predict. Generally, I would sway away from items with Feedback and save up for items with power and health regeneration such as Hoop of Contention (10wis, 42power +45health regeneration out of

Everquest 2 Fury Guide
Golden Efreeti Boots
This quest is a monster, but the reward is first grade. +20 in combat power regen, massive amounts of power and wisdom. You simply cannot pass up this quest for any reason.
Guise of the Deceiver
This quest is a bit of a pain, but the reward can be used to transform yourself into a dark elf and, if you cast it before predator line, can be used to block the lion form illusion. It should not be difficult for you to do, either, and even if you don’t complete it while you are in Nektropos, you can go back later and solo the entire quest for the reward.
Legendary Journeyman Boots
These boots are the reward of a long (but fairly easy) quest where you run around in different zones trying to beat times. The boots themselves are a good reward, but when you get Golden Efreeti Boots, you will still want these Journeyman boots for the +10% runspeed. They are also a good set of boots to use before you get your GEB’s.
The only help you will need will be for Thundering Steppes and Nektulos forest, in which you will probably have to have the help of a 25+ scout to evac you after the final updates (Dread Pool and Port Naythex). The Feerrott run is train-central, but if you can ask a level 50 to join you, it should be possible to traverse through without aggroing anything, depending on the level average.
Screaming Mace
This quest results in probably the best priest weapon available aside from (possibly) Prismatic weapons. The reason why this item is so spectacular is because it gives you power back when you melee with it and it procs! It is hefty on wisdom and power as well and the damage is quite nice.
Tobrin’s Mystical Eyepatch
One of my favorite heritage items for its effect (see invisible), it also has +11 wisdom and +50 power, making it one of the better headpieces available aside from

a chance to do them. This way, you don’t end up helping other people and getting nothing in return.
6.2.3. Heritages
The Must Haves
Item
Starter
Manastone
Stiletto’s Orders (dropped from Stiletto in Thundering Steppes by Shrine of Decay / gnoll area)
Flowing Black Silk Sash Antonica, Old Man Yoru in Windstalker Village Hierophant’s Crook Rukir Pineleaf in Rivervale, house surrounded by Nightbloods Golden Efreeti Boots Charley Ashlash in Lavastorm (need to speak Goblin) Guise of the Deceiver “a tiny note” from a box in Nektropos Castle basement storage Legendary Journeyman Boots Antonica, bridge to North Qeynos C Cru Naseto Screaming Mace “An Ill-fated clerics journal” from Agony near Temple of Cazic
Thule in Feerrott. Rare spawn, rare drop
Tobrin’s Mystical Eyepatch Master T’lys in Everfrost, LOC: 83, -19, 82 (not always up)
Manastone
This one is an absolute must-have. It is a bit of a pain, it is a fairly long quest as well, but when you get this item at the end, you’ll curse all the days that went by when you didn’t have this item. At level 50, it is C690 health, +202 power. It can be cast 1 time every minute and has a 1 second cast time. It goes in activatable spot.
Flowing Black Silk Sash
Although this is a belt with haste, it is also probably one of the best belts around for other stats as well. If you do this quest, you will not need another belt slot for a long time. The +10% haste is also an excellent addition to help our melee prowess (which you should be doing with all those procs that you can give yourself).
Hierophant’s Crook
This is my main two-hander. It is a very easy quest to do for such a great weapon too. Even though it is nowhere near the best weapon that you will ever see, this quest is very worthwhile in regards to reward vs time spent and this item will suffice for soloing and probably be quite nice for a long time unless you do other quests and obtain a good 1- hander and shield to use for groups.

Everquest 2 Fury Guide
6. Items
6.1. Introduction
At most levels, items are not generally as important or spectacular as they are in
other games like the original Everquest. Aside from the new Bloodlines additions and some rarer pieces, most armor upgrades are just slightly better than their lower level counterpart, possessing similar stats and resists. There are exceptions, but those are mostly with quest items or extremely rare drops. That isn’t to say that there aren’t “mst haves” or really nice pieces of gear, but those pieces are something that will come much later in your career usually and are either extremely common or extremely rare and require quite a bit of raiding and good luck.
6.2. Items Via Quests
6.2.1. Beginner Gear
Your best bet for beginner gear is to just do the various quests around the suburbs
of your respective city. These will gear you up quite nicely through the levels and do not take that much time out of leveling. They are also worth experience, which can be quite nice. Various sites have listings for these starter quests that can help you weed out which pieces you need/want, but I would generally suggest to go ahead and grab up most of the suburb quests when you finish your citizenship unless you are twinking this character with other gear.
6.2.2. Level 20 Armor Quests
Freeport
Vassi Darkblade Jade’s Tavern in North Freeport, second floor
Qeynos Selwyn Oakheart South Qeynos by North Qeynos gate, under a tree
These quests can be a bit of a hassle and they will slow down your leveling quite a bit, but it can be good if you are in dire need of an upgrade. There are 6 quests in total, which result in the boots, gloves, bracer, arms, legs, and chest. As a Fury, this gearing up is not especially necessary, but you may wish to go ahead and do it if you cannot afford other gear. Also, as a note, if you hunt with lots of people around your level, it is likely that they will be doing these armor quests, so you might as well pick it up even if you don’t get

Everquest 2 Fury Guide
Lady Vox
Location: Crypt of Decay in Permafrost
Rundown: Zone in and run everyone down. Little tip here, if you have more than 24 people that are on the Fire and Ice quest and need to speak with Lady Vox, you can drop some people from your group and zone a leader out to go grab them. Nobody has to be in group here, so it doesn’t matter. Once everyone is inside, move your people down and have whoever possesses the shards stand by the magic pillar (You need Soul, Heart, and Mind). Do NOT click this pillar!!!!!! Everyone else should not be standing by you but, instead, behind you a little ways. As you stand by the pillar, right click on the shards in this order and release Vox’s essence: Soul, Heart, Mind. Then, right click on the magic orb and perform the ritual embedded in your mind. You will die and Vox will spawn. Get a rez and go hail her for your flag, then proceed out to Dreyek’s on the top floor for the last step of the Fire and Ice quest.
King Dreyek
Location: Dreyek’s Chamber (Throne of the Kromise King) in Permafrost
Tactics: This is a pretty easy fight coming from Arti’cae’s Lair. Word of warning, though: Do not use pets as the non-attackable giant NPCs will run over and beat up their owner (they leave the rest of the raid alone, though). Watch out for the first archway, too, since stuff will drop and kill you instantly. You will want to jump over the little ridge into the room. Kill the aggro mobs and prepare for Dreyek, ignoring those unattackable mobs for now. Pull Dreyek to a corner by his throne and just whallop on him. He is fairly easy. Mobs will spawn and Dreyek will despawn and repop at full health every so often, so be ready for that. It should be a group of mini giants around 80%, then the unattackable mobs will jump you at around 50%, then another group of midget giants at 20%. Group composition can be fairly standard, but Dreyek is known to Ice Comet if you wish to make the MT group Cold Resist heavy.

Everquest 2 Fury Guide
1 troubadour, 3 or so templars, an illusionist, and 1-2 wardens. If you don’t have this, I really wouldn’t even attempt this as you will, most likely, die miserably. Also, low level crushing weapons will hardly even work and cold based spells will land, but they won’t do any damage (so no whirlwinds and you will need a slasher if you want to melee).
When you first zone in, you are by a door with some wandering skels in the middle and 3 doors around you with sets of guards. Try to avoid the skeletons in the middle and have someone pull the door guards from the right to your raid force. Dispatch them and pull more and more until you get to a human mob called “an Arti’cae ____”. Kill him, then do the same thing with the left door and then do the door in front of you. You will be in here a while =). You will need to do usual MT/AT tactics, as there will often be multiple +++ mobs. After that, kill the skeletons in the middle then the door guards if they popped and move your guild to the little curve in the icy caves. She won’t be spawned yet so you can pull the other two groups in her room very easily. Once those are dead, prepare for an incredible fight.
Your groups need to look like this (accept little substitute):
Purpose Classes Main Tank Guardian, Warden, Mystic, Templar, Troubadour, Wizard. Support Shaman, Templar, Wizard, Illusionist, Warden (if available), +1 DPS1 Templar/Inq, Fury, Dirge, Wizard, Fighter (pref Zerker/Brawlers), +1 melee DPS2 Healerx2, Wizard, Anyx3 This mob will AE your group with a dot that does 500-2000+ on the cold resist. You need to pump up cold resist as much as you possibly can and keep it up. Templars must be using Glory of Combat for the group heal. Wardens should be constantly using their level 30 Training Elemental Cure as it adds 644 to Cold and Heat resists. If someone goes down, the Paladins and Dirges must rez them. Have NO ONE else rez anyone that falls. This is pretty much an “Any” raid thing. Paladins and Dirges can rez people in combat and bring them back up at half hp/power every 15 seconds. If you try and bring someone up with one of the priest combat rezzes, they will most likely die as soon as he AoE’s again.
If your group composition is similar to the above with your cold resists pumped up to the max, you probably won’t even take damage especially in the MT and Support groups. DPS1 group will have enough healing power from the Templar’s group reactives and Glory of Combat that healing will be a breeze, but you can use Owl’s Restoration if you wish. You can melee and do Strike of Storms and Dooming Swarm, but Whirlwind won’t work. Pray for a master chest and get your final essence shard.
